The support post for the ridgepole is flattened along the sides for attaching the gable walls. Temporary braces hold it plumb.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For putting up the ridgepole I needed external help.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After going up and down the ladder for several days, the rafters are on. The posts, supporting the roof of the veranda, are sitting on adjustable jacks for settling.
